Listening to The Enchantress

Well, it’s gotten to the point where “The Enchantress” my audio drama/paranormal romance is ready to be released.

My sound designer, Aesop, has been a boon. He’s been working hard on this for a long time. Right now I’m sitting in my favorite little cafe, Cafe Kanape www.cafekanape.com just off of Broadway on Capitol Hill in Seattle, and listening to episode 1. 

There are five episodes. I’m listening in the cafe because listening at home, in a sterile sound environment is nice, but most people will be listening in their cars, homes, and on walks, so I need to hear how it sounds in a more “cluttered” atmosphere. So, despite the music being piped into the restaurant, the sound of customers, the kitchen, etc. it’s coming through nicely.

The Enchantress stars:

Wednesday Wolf as Davis Hunter, In 1985 his is a top Hollywood composer and is in love with a ghost. Davis is suffering depression and is terribly blocked and fearing for his sanity. He has bought the estate of Noemi Barnes, a large mansion reputed to be haunted.

Johanna Polit as Davis’ human love interest, Issabella Conti (it’s an arranged romance by a studio executive who wants to try the “old style” type of romance for publicity) they hate each other

John Empey as Joseph Brunner, caretaker of the estate.

Donna De La Rosa as Anna Brunner, co-caretaker of the estate.

Charlie Miller as Joey Brunner, grandson to the caretakers

Michael Hunter as Doctor Matthew Elliott, the local physician

Melissa Hanbey as Cindy, one of the estate workers, The Lowdown reporter (and several other characters)
